Google Wave, ‘E-mail’ Reinvented, Or To Complex For Normal People?
To be honest, i don’t know! I only got my beta account a few days ago, and it’s near impossible to tell without a project to put it to the test with, so I’m going to reserve my opinion. But i did read an amusing article about a bunch of nerds that had put it to the ultimate project communications test by playing Dungeons & Dragons on Google Wave that seemed to rate it very highly for the complex business of official discussion, sub-discussions and so on.
I have an account, and i’m giving out invites to the the first 10 that leave a comment here!
All 10 invite request have been sent. Thank you for your interest.

Music I love to work too.
This is one of those things that i simply had to blog about, even if it has nothing to do with my professional life. Well it does in a sense. I saw this on lifehack.com, and i thought it was something that i simply had to pass on.
Amazon are offering a whole album by Philip Glass to download for free. No catches, no nothing just download and enjoy. Click here for Amazon.com Philip Glass Sampler Vol 1 .
I’m not going to give an in depth critique of the music of Philip Glass here, suffice to say that i love his music very much, it is subtlety beautiful and very easy to give all or your attention too, or you can allow it to seep in unconsciously as you work as beautiful repetitive patterns of sound. Really good stuff.
Anyways… put on the iPod and back to work!
Or read about other albums i love to work too…

The support of a well known and official organisation helps overcome a lot of suspicion in the mind of a buyer. It shows a general commitment to honest behaviour in a formalised context. It may all seem very fair and noble, but is it even possible in an industry like Search Engine Optimization? I don’t think that it is… Continue reading The SEO Certifiction Beauty Contest

Derek Powazek is causing something of a stir recently within the SEO industry with a blog article: Spammers, Evildoers, and Opportunists
To summarize: ‘In no uncertain terms… SEO’s bottle common sense and label it as super secret and expensive cure-all for your website. They are all basically snake oil salesmen.’ This is a gross simplification, and represents what I took from the article, but I have to admit that I sort of agree with it.
Similarly Search Engine Land responded with: An Open Letter To Derek Powazek On The Value Of SEO
To summarize: ‘We do real stuff, hear are examples of real stuff, and hear is how you can measure the effects of that stuff… and we don’t like the people who call themselves SEOs and do bad stuff either.’ It’s worth reading as it is a sensible defence.
My Thoughts on the Debate… Continue reading On Spammers, Evildoers, and Opportunists
